SIR JOHN MANDUELL CBE (BFr 42): 1928 – 2017 11/01/2017 It is with great sadness that we report the death of Sir John Manduell, Founding Principal RNCM, on Wednesday 25 October at the age of 89. Born in Johannesburg in 1928, Sir John studied Haileybury from 1942 as a member of Bartle Frere and then at the University of Strasbourg, Jesus College, Cambridge and the Royal Academy of Music with Lennox Berkeley. He joined the BBC in 1956 as a producer, becoming Head of Music for the Midlands and East Anglia in 1961. During this period he became the BBC

Kenneth Rimmer (Staff 1958-92) 08/17/2017 We are sorry to announce that Kenneth Rimmer, long-serving member of staff, HM of Hailey (1969-82) and teacher of modern languages, died on July 24th, 2017. His funeral will be in Chapel at Haileybury on August 30th at 1pm, followed by a short service at Woollensbrook Crematorium, Hoddesdon, attended by some members of the family, and anyone else who would like to be there. Refreshments, hosted by other members of the family until they are rejoined by their seniors, will be served in the
